WHAT WE DO


The North Central Indiana Regional Planning Council (NCIRPC) is a non-profit agency serving the communities throughout Cass, Clinton, Fulton, Howard, Miami and Tipton counties. NCIRPC will serve local communities with the purpose of building stronger local communities and regional economies by enhancing the quality of life throughout the region.

North Central Indiana is comprised of six counties with a population of 224,588 with 34 separate units of local government across the region. NCIRPC will engage local governments, economic development organizations, non-profits and community leaders to provide programs and services targeted to meet the unique needs of each community and to provide mutual benefit throughout the NC region.

With historically low unemployment rates, employers may find it difficult to find available workers to support current operations or expansions. The six-county North Central Indiana region has an abundant labor pool of nearly 17,000 potential workers to fulfill available positions. The report also states the regional economic development partners and Workforce Board offer training programs to skill-up workers and meet the needs of employers.
